We are a community of young adults led by young adults. Our members are the ones who make this community what it is!

Executive Team

Our Executive Team is responsible for discerning and directing Salt + Light’s strategy and vision. This directing happens through intercessory prayer, coaching other leaders, and overseeing rather than running the events themselves.

    I ensure alignment to our mission and oversee/support the operational side of our organization so the team leaders can focus on hosting awesome events.

    Secretary

    I take meeting notes and track event participation/feedback while overseeing the planning of sports and excursions.

    Treasurer

    I help manage the budget and fundraising efforts to ensure that ministries have the necessary funds to be successful.

    Community Engagement

    I oversee all branding and communications and have the opportunity to work with our communications chair on all social media as well as event planning for men’s and women’s leads.

The Leadership Team is made up of our movers and shakers. They are the ones planning and executing events to help foster faith and fellowship in this community!

    Pint Night Lead

    I line up speakers and plan Pint Night events to bring the Salt+Light community together.

  • Kenzie Maschka

    Abide Coordinator

    I plan and run one of Salt+Light’s bi-monthly large events. Abide includes a holy hour with confession and worship music, followed by a fun social gathering to help young adult Catholics connect and build community.

    Excursions Lead

    I organize fun events and interesting things to do around Lincoln and the surrounding areas, getting the Catholic community together, building stronger friendships and making new ones.

    Service Lead

    I provide service opportunities to help the less fortunate and spread the good news to those we serve.

  • Lucy Long

    Women’s Lead

    I host a monthly Bible journaling event for women and also serve as a liaison to help women get connected to small groups in Salt+Light or in the parish.

  • Patrick Fowler

    Men's Lead

    I am the resource for men trying to get more involved in Salt+Light and the Lincoln Diocese. Keep an eye out for organized outings/events for the men and monthly men’s groups.

  • Amy Reisen

    Spiritual Lead

    I help plan retreats, series, pilgrimages and formation opportunities that draw our community closer to Christ. I love creating spaces for prayer, connection and growth in faith.

  • Travis Ohnoutka

    Sports Lead

    I construct the friendly competition of sports for the Salt+Light members to participate in. Send me any recommendations!

    Communications & Outreach

    I share updates, post about events and help welcome new members so everyone feels excited, included and part of the Salt+Light family.
