As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, Salt + Light relies on donations to sustain our organization. Most of our annual expenses go to parishes for use of their spaces for events or priests for providing sacramental services.
We Serve.
We are a community for young adults led by young adults with 12 volunteer leaders serving a community with over 100 active community members just since the start of this fiscal year in July. We project hosting at least 96 events this year to cover the wide range of interests and spiritual/social needs of our community.
They Believe.
Young adulthood poses many temptations to reject the Father’s love and define one’s worth by career success, relationship status, and personal comparison. Salt + Light provides a space to let go of worldly expectations and grow to truly understand your worth is defined by God alone.

God created us for union with Him in Heaven and on earth that results in a need for community and relationship with one another. With a cultural shift to getting married later and an increased dependence on devices, young adults are feeling more disconnected now than in prior generations.
I humbly ask on behalf of the Salt + Light Community that you consider making a donation to help our leaders further our mission. Young adults are paying off debt while saving up for houses, marriage, and starting families, so events being free or low cost keeps our community accessible to all.

All donations to Salt + Light Catholic Young Adult Community are tax deductible as allowed by law for a 501(c)(3) registered organization.

Donations to Salt + Light primarily go toward event expenses including (but not limited to): parish donations for use of their space for events, priest services, food/snacks/drinks, excursion entrance costs, event supplies/equipment.
There is also some organizational costs for our website, storage, merchandise, and leadership formation.

If the in-kind donation is something we can use for events such as snacks, prizes, supplies or furniture for our meeting room. Then we may be able to accept it, please contact us to discuss.
If the donation is not intended to be used by our organization and rather sold and proceeds used to benefit our organization, then we ask that you go through the Catholic Giving Foundation of Southern Nebraska identifying Salt + Light as the target recipient of the proceeds. We are happy to help make that connection.
